A "Tech for Good" software company that provides schools and teachers with vital insights about their pupils is on the lookout for a Software Development Team Lead.

Their platform, which is used globally, assists those pupils assess their capabilities and in turn helps them to do better

The Company

Founded over 40 years ago, they have a tech office in the North East and currently have over 200 employees in total

They are a leading online test provider in the UK to schools and continue to grow their client base in the US and Middle East.

At peak times, their software is being used by over 100,000 users daily

The Role

  • Work closely with your Product Manager to prepare and deliver value for the team’s domain.
  • Set the bar for best practices in the team: coding, testing, deploying, operating as well as team processes for self-organising and continuously improving.
  • Coordinate with other Team Leads and PMs as needed to deliver work, resolve dependencies, align practices and standards.
  • Help your team members grow and develop, creating and achieving their own defined career goals.
  • Have regular 1-1s, managing their individual goals, performance and promotions.
  • You will also use all the senior expertise in your team to mentor and coach more junior members.


Home & Office Working Policy

This role is hybrid. You'll be required to work from their Sunderland office 2 days per week

They have a 37.5 hour work week with core hours of 10am - 4pm

Salary & Benefits

  • The role is paying between £60k-£70k.
